Summer WorkshopsWith the generous support of the International Foundation for Research in Experimental Economics (IFREE), ICES conducts separate workshops for graduate students and local area high school students.
Last April IFREE sponsored a Graduate Student Seminar on Experimental Economics and Spontaneous Orders at ICES. The purpose of the seminar was to expose PhD student to the insights of the Scottish enlightenment and to introduce them to how experimental economics can inform our understanding of spontaneous orders.
The Vernon L. Smith High School Workshop in Experimental Economics is designed to introduce DC area high school students to the study of economics using laboratory methods. This weeklong workshop will be offered once next summer.
